Intro To Tai Chi

Tai chi (taijiquan) is an ancient Chinese art that has gained international acclaim for its many health benefits. In this introductory class, we will be discussing basic principles and learning the 24 Form. Wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to leave your shoes in the studio’s foyer (bring socks or a pair of inside-only shoes with a smooth sole). Emphasis will be placed on mindfulness, alignment, and health aspects of tai chi. Suitable for all ages.

Tai Chi Teacher Bio
Marie Day began studying Chinese martial arts in 1995 and has been practicing regularly since then. She has been privileged to study with experts from China as well as advanced local practitioners. The alignment, stability, and balance provided by regular practice has enriched her life immeasurably, and she is thrilled to share these practices with others seeking the many benefits of mindful movement.
