Body Of Breath

Yoga views the human as being made up of 5 layers or sheaths: the physical or food body, the energy or breath body, the mind body, the wisdom body, and the bliss body. These layers move from gross to subtle, and the layer surrounding the breath body is the bridge between body and mind, leading into the more subtle aspects of our human experience, such as wisdom and joy.

In this two hour virtual workshop with Laura and Rebecca, we’ll explore the mechanics of breathing, general anatomy surrounding the breath, and participate in experiential breath inquiries. We’ll then move into more subtle aspects of the breath and movement of energy with a pranayama (breathwork) practice and light asana and movement.
